South Canal
A project in harmony with the urban landscape.
In order to deliver a quality project in Bobigny, in the Ecocity, we made it a point to establish a strong relationship between our building and its immediate and more distant environment. As a clearly identifiable block, I2b, located south of the Ourcq Canal, is intended to be a constituent element of the urban landscape, in the same way as the service buildings surrounding the site. Whilst it maintains its specific identity, our project fits seamlessly into this landscape: aligned with the façades of the buildings located along the Canal de l'Ourcq and rue de Paris, it fits into this context, without standing out in this perspective, and more broadly into the architectural fabric of the ZAC. But it is above all with the Canal and the Parc Départemental de la Bergère that the building aims to establish a strong urban link: the layout of the spaces, the design of the flats and the landscaping project constitute an addition to the context and thus create, through the foliage and layout of the terraces, a true green extension to the city. Residents, by following the walkways, naturally access the interior of the project from the public space. The centre of the block is aimed at embellishing and freeing up perspectives, but also at linking spaces and managing traffic, in a project at the heart of which they create an empty space, fully transparent: end-to-end they connect rue de Paris and the Canal banks. In this context, in order to bolster the area around the school gates, the entrance to the crèche is located in this important public space.
